The House and Senate today both approved the conference committee report for Senate Substitute for House Bill 2222, known as the rescission bill. Contained in the report was the House amendment which reversed the Governor’s 10% cut to HCBS DD waiver reimbursements, and instead cut the same amount of SGF from SGF grants, and from State Aid, as needed. This amendment is effective for all waiver billings, retroactively to January 1 of this year, but is not applicable to FY2011 (beginning in July 1, 2010). Therefore the advocacy for the coming year’s budget will be to protect the uncut DD waiver reimbursements, and restore all other cuts.
