The ideal candidate will provide leadership and management of financial, administrative and
other business supports for JCDS and for the Community Developmental Disabilities

Organization (CDDO); as lead financial officer, responsible to the executive director for all long-
range financial matters and for establishing agency-wide financial and administrative objectives,

policies, practices, and programs; manages the flow of cash and maintains the integrity of
financial systems; interprets and applies the policies of the governing board, and controls the
operations and activities of support and administrative functions.

• Eight (8) years' of fiscal services experience of increasing responsibility, preferably in
government, nonprofit sector or services or relevant experience
• Three (3) years leading, directing, supervising, or coordinating the work of others
• Experience may substitute for education.

Cowley County CDDO

CDDO Assessor

Cowley County currently has an opening for an Assessor in the CDDO department.  The primary responsibilities of this position are the completion of the functional assessment process and tasks related to that responsibility, program eligibility and quality assurance. The duties of this position and resulting information are essential to the function of the CDDO Dept. and its affiliates.  The tasks of this position require regular meetings and interactions with persons in or pursuing services, their Targeted Case Manager (TCM) and support network. The scope of other activities is related to local CDDO responsibilities which require the involvement of other CDDO staff team members.

A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the field of providing services to persons with intellectual/developmental disabilities. Knowledge of the functional assessment and Developmental Disabilities HCBS Targeted Case Management Manual. Familiarity with regulations, statutes and policies as related to the position responsibilities and function of the CDDO.  Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services field of study preferably with coursework in psychology, human development, special needs populations or courses related to the duties of this position. DD Targeted Case Management Registration is highly desirable.

Valid driver’s license and ability to drive to appointments at homes and agencies. Knowledge of the  functional assessment manual and  systems  as well as the TCM manual and related forms;  ability to work with computer programs such  Microsoft Office, Excel,  Access or other data base programs and systems such as KMAP ( Kansas Medical Assistance Program )  Basic math calculation abilities,   Maintain certification training of the functional assessment and Eligibility Determination training requirements yearly.  The ability to schedule, invite, change, and cancel Zoom meetings is essential.

Also must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.  Starting salary is $16.19 - $27.19.

Infant Toddler Services – Dodge City 

Early Childhood Interventionist: Supports infants/toddlers and their families in home and community based settings. Responsible for completing developmental screenings, evaluations, IFSP service planning, family coaching and team collaboration in order to work toward identified outcomes for each child.  Serves as a Family Service Coordinator (FSC) for assigned families. Credentials may include the following Kansas licensed professionals: Early Childhood Special Educators with Early Childhood Unified endorsement (ECU covering birth to 3), Registered Nurse, or Speech & Language Pathologist. Requires knowledge of early childhood development and delays. Salary determined by Special Education Cooperative’s salary schedule.
