Position: CEO

Tri-Valley Developmental Services (TVDS) is a nonprofit I/DD provider in Kansas that is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead its operations throughout eight Kansas counties. Incorporated in 1975 by families looking to improve the lives of their children, TVDS has grown to meet today's challenges.

Our vision is to empower people with disabilities to realize their potential as full citizens in the community, through supporting them in working and living in the place they call home. We help them live as independently as possible. And we help them belong. TVDS serves  approximately 180 people and the agency’s total annual operating budget is approximately $7 million.

The CEO is the key management position of TVDS, and is responsible for overseeing the administration, programs and strategic plan of the organization. The CEO reports to the Board of Directors and works with the Board to fulfill the organization’s mission through programs, strategic planning and community relations, and develops resources to ensure the financial health of the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for the development, training, and orientation of the Board of Directors.

Helps maintain the corporate and legal existence of the organization under the direction of the Board of Directors.

Promotes effective operation of all programs within the organization to include, but not limited to, meeting KDADS licensing regulations, Department of Labor regulations, etc.

Presents to the Board of Directors and/or Board Committees management reports to assist them in their decision-making process. Presents reports for informational purposes, e.g., sexual harassment charges, appeals of discharge, personnel policy updates, etc.

Ensures that an effective leadership team is in place.

Oversees the development, publication, and dissemination of the TVDS three-year plan.

Ensures a high quality of services to the clients that promote independence, community integration, and quality of life that are provided in a safe and supportive environment.

Seeks out and negotiates with potential source of funds to achieve organizational goals.

Responsible for all phases of personnel administration including but not limited to developing staffing patterns, hiring/firing staff, in-service training, etc.

Oversees financial administration, including budgeting, payroll administration, cost accounting and maintenance of comprehensive financial and other records.

Oversees Agency public relations programs to include but not limited to brochures, publications, presentations, etc.

Assists the President of the Board in preparing TVDS board meetings to include agendas and materials for presentations.

Works cooperatively with other service provider organizations and state offices.

Presents positive, fair, and accurate image of Tri-Valley Developmental Services to public.

REQUIREMENTS

Master’s Degree desirable, with emphasis in administration preferred. Bachelor’s Degree, plus experience in service delivery to persons with intellectual/ developmental disabilities, and five years’ experience in management required. Driving record must be acceptable to Tri-Valley’s insurance carrier. Must qualify for bonding by TVDS insurance carrier.

Position: Program Director

This is a full-time, salaried exempt position and serves on the management team of The Arc. The Program Director is responsible for The Arc’s Special Projects Department and all programs and events connected to this department.  The Program Director ensures dependable, safe and appropriate programming for those The Arc serves. The Program Director is heavily involved in fund-raising activities as they relate to special events.

Position: Marketing and Development Director

This is a full-time, salaried exempt position and serves on the management team of The Arc. The Marketing and Development Director is responsible for overseeing all of The Arc’s development efforts, including but not limited to special events, annual appeals, grant development, capitol campaigns and donor development and recognition.  They will also oversee outreach and marketing efforts to reach new families, promote programming and events, reach the greater community and attract new donors.

Position: Division Manager, Pratt, Kansas
Directly responsible for the management of all rehabilitation programs and services provided within assigned division of Arrowhead West.  Minimum qualifications include BA from an accredited four-year college or university and at least five years of related experience, three of which must have been in a mid-management (supervisory) or higher level position.  Degree requirement may be waived with 10 or more years management/supervisory experience, with 5 or more of those years being in the human services.  $43,108-$60,710

Position: Program Manager, Pratt, Kansas
Responsible for the day-to-day coordination in the Adult Life Skills, Retirement and Work Services programs. Responsible for the facilitation of meaningful participation in activities and community inclusion for clients.  Bachelor’s degree in appropriate field and two years’ experience in rehabilitation programs or vocational management required.  Degree may be waived with five years’ experience working in a sheltered workshop setting.  $33,124-$48,126



Position: Regional Manager – Community Living

 (1-FT)  M-F 10:00-6:30.  Regional Managers have a leadership role in coordinating residential services for individuals with intellectual/development disabilities, monitoring quality of services, and managing the Direct Support team.  Requires supervisory experience, 6 months I/DD experience, BS/BA degree or comparable experience, valid driver’s license, and good driving record.  EOE ketch.org 

 

 

Position: Targeted Case Manager - Paola

The ideal candidate will provide exceptional service and support to make a positive impact in the lives of people with developmental and related disabilities and their families.  This position coordinates and monitors the quality of services and resources offered to persons served, and ensures the delivery of adequate and appropriate services according to the persons person centered support plan.  Flexibility and strong organizational skills will be key components of this position.  Successful candidates will also have strong interpersonal skills and strong computer skills for maintaining accurate records. 

A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of six months full time experience in the field of human services is required.  Documented experience in the field of developmental disabilities may be substituted for any portion of a Bachelor’s degree at a rate of six months full time experience for each missing semester.

Seeking an individual to provide day-to-day operation support to Community Living department.  Responsibilities will include    providing supervision, guidance, and support to community living supervisors.  Must be flexible and possess excellent people skills.  Position requires a BA degree in human services or related field, plus three (3) years management experience at an organization serving people with intellectual disabilities.

Position: Registered Nurse

Seeking a full-time registered nurse to provide support to individuals with disabilities.  Applicant must be able to function independently, possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to use their professional nursing knowledge in a community based setting.  Must possess a current Kansas RN license.  Experience working with people with disabilities and a good working knowledge of psychotropic medications preferred, but not required.  Monday – Friday, 1st shift schedule with rotating night/weekend on-call responsibilities (primarily phone triage).  Starkey offers a competitive salary, excellent benefit package, and positive work environment.
